Quilting Group

The quilting group has been one of the cornerstones of the Casa for many years. Our most charitable group, their goal is to provide small quilts for children in need or trauma throughout our community. They have and continue to contribute to various groups, including the Helotes Police & Fire Departments, Children’s Hospitals, Fisher House, and the Wounded Warrior Project. They also support the Casa through donations totaling $800 in 2013 and $600 in 2014 through the sale of their quilts.

Making quilts involves cutting fabric, sewing, pressing, pinning, and similar activities. The group purchases some of what they need, such as the batting, although most items are donated. No matter your level of experience with quilting, the quilting group welcomes anyone with a desire to learn and devotion to others. New members are always welcome.
